Behavior Talks | Caregiver Guidance

About Behavior Talks

We are caring professionals who are dedicated to walk alongside you, offering compassion and support every step of the way.

With roots in Michigan, Behavior Talks extends its compassionate care through the convenience of telemedicine visits with caregiver(s). We bridge the gap between quality applied behavior analysis (ABA) services and individuals seeking behavioral support, no matter where they reside.

Emery Koetje

Founder and Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Professionally, I have had the opportunity to work within multiple school systems, community, center-based, and in-home settings. My team was selected to be one of the small groups of people to participate in the launch of the “My Way” program in Michigan. Dr. Greg Hanley came to Grand Rapids to teach us about the program and train us on data collection for this. I have provided telemedicine services educationally and through the medical sector of ABA for nearly five years now. During this time I have intentionally observed common factors for successful treatment outcomes provided solely through telemedicine visits and the common denominators were caregiver buy in for services, desire to learn the foundational principles of behavior analysis, and willingness to implement ABA goals outside of session times. This is why Behavior Talks is a Caregiver guidance company and unlike traditional ABA companies. We will strive to fill the toolbox of each caregiver, empowering them to go confidently with socially significant goals each family has selected for themselves.
